Using a Penis Ring

 A cock ring is a device worn around the penis, which is used to enhance the appearance of the genitals and extend love making by keeping blood trapped inside the penis.

An erection occurs when arousal triggers the penis to fill with blood, while simultaneously, blood flows out of the erectile tissue more slowly, which creates a build-up of pressure; blood becomes trapped, making the penis hard. The increased pressure from the influx of blood stretches the arterial walls, which in turn releases a substance that further enhances the dilation. To ensure that the erection is not permanent, this substance is continuously degraded. Drugs like Viagra produce a longer-lasting erection by delaying the degradation process. With erection problems, the blood leaks out, and the penis stays or keeps going soft.

Since veins are closer to the surface of the penis than arteries, a cock ring applied snugly to the base of the penis, or behind the testicles has the effect of allowing blood to flow in while restricting its ability to flow out. In this manner, a cock ring helps men get a firmer erection and maintain it for longer.

Penis Ring Variations

 When choosing a cock ring, it is important to consider what you want from it. If prolonged sex and a harder erection is what you seek, you should use either elastomer or silicone, which stretch the most and constrict blood flow most effectively. If you wish to wear a penis ring for longer periods of time, you should acquire a ring with a fixed size, such as one made from metal or an adjustable type, such as those made from leather. Metal rings need to be properly sized and are not recommended for beginners, while in the case of leather, most can be adjusted tighter via metal snaps or buckles, so you can get the best of both worlds. There are also versions of cock rings called “cock and balls,” that wrap around both the penis and testicles, AND have an extra ring attached to wrap around the shaft. Ensure you are not allergic to the material the ring is manufactured from;

** A Word of Caution – used incorrectly, a cock ring can damage your penis **

The penis is composed of millions of blood vessels and constricting blood flow is not something your genitals are designed to do. Using a cock ring incorrectly by applying it too tightly can cause numbness, discoloration, and severe pain.

For safety and pleasure, a cock ring needs to increase the size of the erection only slightly. If you notice more pronounced swelling, then the fit is too tight and you must take the cock ring off immediately. This also applies as soon as you feel pain, or if your penis feels cool or cold. Avoid wearing one to sleep, as you can unknowingly damage spontaneous erections.

An erection of several hours can cause blood to coagulate in the penis, making it difficult to lose the erection. This is called priapism, or prolonged erection. Since new blood can’t enter the penis, this can be extremely painful and cause permanent damage to the erectile tissue. If this happens to you, seek medical attention as soon as possible.

 How to Use a Penis Ring

 The proper way to wear most cock rings is behind the balls, and around the base of the shaft, close to the body. With a silicone ring, you can place it around the shaft only, but you run the risk of it slipping off during sex. All rings should fit comfortably and cause no pain. It is dangerous to leave a cock ring on for too long – 30 minutes is the recommended maximum time.

IN MOST CASES – A COCK RING SHOULD BE PUT ON WHEN YOU ARE FLACCID, OR BEFORE YOU HAVE A STRONG ERECTION

Instructions for Using a Penis Ring

  1. Stretchy Rings

    Ideal for men with good erections who want to explore the increased sensation that comes with being super-erect.

    They can also assist men who have difficulty maintaining their erections from time to time to stay hard.

    Clipping the pubic hair to about 5mm long can make penis rings much easier (and less painful) to remove and has the added bonus of making your penis look bigger.

    Ideally, these rings are worn behind the testicles (see picture) and should be applied, with a little bit of water-based lubricant on the inside of the ring, before you get an erection.

    When alone, they are most easily applied when standing – Stretch the ring wide, put the penis through first, followed by the testicles, before settling the ring in place, close to the body. Make sure the skin under the ring is not pulled or stretched. Your partner may also like to help by stretching the ring, while you take care of your tackle.

  2. Speed Shift – Perfect Fit Ring

    Fully adjustable to fit any size penis, and adjustable while in place, with an easy quick release.

    These rings are worn behind the testicles (see picture) and should be applied, before you get an erection.

    For men with moderate erection difficulties, the Perfect Fit Ring may be applied once you have started to gain an erection with a penis pump. This will be easier if your partner assists you, either by applying the ring, or by holding the pump in place while you fit the ring.

    If you lose your erection using a pump, before you are able to put the ring in place, you may need to use a Constriction Ring System. It is possible to place any of the previously mentioned rings behind the testicles without breaking the seal on your penis pump – this might take some practice.

  3. Rejoyn Constriction System

    Indicated for or moderate to severe Erectile Dysfunction ED.

    After placing a generous amount of water-based lubricant over the entire surface of the loading cone, the constriction ring can be loaded onto the loading sleeve (the one that looks like a napkin ring) by gripping the two handles and applying firm downward pressure with your thumbs. Once loaded onto the sleeve, make sure the ring is not twisted.

    Unlike other types of penis rings that are best put in place when the penis is soft, the Rejoyn Constriction System must be placed on the penis only once you have obtained the best erection you can get. If you are unable to get a 90%+ erection, you should use a penis pump first.

    Ensure the ring is positioned “north / south”, that is one handle of the ring is on the top of the penis, and the other is positioned directly underneath, above the testicles. This will avoid your thigh hairs becoming stuck or being painfully rubbed during sex. When you are ready, place the loading sleeve on the base of the penis, as close to the body as you can then gently slip the ring off the sleeve and into position close to the body.

    Three sizes are provided in the kit. Try the largest size first, and if it doesn’t provide sufficient support, try the next size down.

    Use caution and plenty of water-based lubricant on the penis when removing the support ring. It is often more comfortable to wait until your erection has subsided before you take off the ring.

Important Safety Information about Constriction Rings

 You only need to use a ring if you want to masturbate or go on to have sex. Otherwise you should use the pump on its own;

Penis rings can affect ejaculation, making it difficult or painful to do so, which can become a problem when you and your partner are trying to conceive;

A penis ring should be worn for no longer than 30 minutes. If worn longer, it can cause serious injury;

Frequent use of a penis ring may result in bruising at the base of the penis (where the shaft meets the pubic bone);

Allow a minimum of 60 minutes between uses;

Do not fall asleep wearing a penis ring;

Use the largest ring possible that supports an erection;

Do not use the a penis ring under the influence of alcohol or drugs;

Misuse of the penis rings may worsen existing medical conditions such as Peyronie’s Disease (a condition that causes distortion or abnormal bend of the erect penis), priapism (prolonged erection) and blocked urethra (urinary tract issue);

Do not use a penis ring if you have decreased sensation of pain in the penile area or if you have decreased hand strength that will make ring removal difficult;

People on blood thinning medication or with disorders that cause excessive bruising should check with your doctor before using this kind of device;

Use of a support ring may cause bruising. Don’t be overly concerned if you notice some bruising on the penis or small red spots below the skin – these will fade in a few days
